EQUIPMENT SELECTION

Selecting a Bag or Tube Sealing Process

A bag or tube material name does not fully define a sealing task. Start with the layers, the required joint and the way the package will be held. Then compare the process and the available working arrangement.

Describe the complete construction

Provide the polymer or fibre description and any laminate, coating or multiple layers. A nonwoven bag and a laminated film pouch should not be treated as interchangeable simply because both are flexible packages.

Separate the joining process from handling

Ultrasonic joining uses vibration at the joint; band sealing listings describe a different working arrangement for presenting a bag mouth through a sealing section. Neither category name proves that a particular material construction will work. Provide samples and the required seam shape when discussing the task.

Include the filled package

State weight, height and available space above the contents. Ask how the pack reaches and leaves the sealing position. For tube equipment, include diameter, material and the condition of the open end. Where filling is also required, identify that operation separately.

Ask about the result you need

Show the intended seam in a drawing or sample. For vacuum or gas-flushing listings, explain the desired process rather than assuming a residual-gas level from a machine name. Performance at your pack format needs to be discussed for the proposed configuration.

Separate the seam from the production sequence

Describe whether the bag arrives already filled, whether it must remain upright and who supports it while closing. For tube work, distinguish the incoming tube from the finished sealed end. These details help compare the handling task without assuming that one sealing technology suits every layer structure.

Compare process scope before comparing rates. The relevant configuration is the one that addresses your package construction and handling requirements, not necessarily the fastest number in a different listing.
